When to take the OMPT for a Chulalongkorn School of Integrated Innovation application
OMPT results arrive within 8 business days and a test slot has to be booked at least 72 hours in advance, so the last safe test date is about 12 calendar days before the application deadline. If you want one retake in reserve, sit the first attempt about 38 days before the deadline. Most programmes allow up to three attempts, each at the full fee, but some count only the first attempt, so confirm the rule on the programme page linked in the table.
Each attempt costs €240 (OMPT-A, B, C, E, G) or €270 (OMPT-D, F). A full-length timed mock before the first paid attempt shows whether you are already above the minimum score. How to book the OMPT, step by step.

Chulalongkorn School of Integrated Innovation OMPT requirements explained
The Chulalongkorn School of Integrated Innovation (CSII) in Bangkok accepts OMPT-B with a minimum score of 65% for its one bachelor programme, the Bachelor of Arts and Science in Integrated Innovation (BAScii). The OMPT counts only in the international admission rounds, which are open to non-Thai citizens, and it is one of ten accepted mathematics tests alongside SAT Math, ACT Math, CU-AAT, IB, A-Level and several national exams. Examify checked this on the official Academic Year 2026 international-round announcement and the CSII admission page on 27 September 2026.
Chulalongkorn CSII OMPT requirements by programme
| Programme | Faculty/campus | OMPT module | Minimum score | Attempt rule / notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bachelor of Arts and Science in Integrated Innovation (BAScii), International Program | Chulalongkorn School of Integrated Innovation, Bangkok | OMPT-B | 65% | International rounds only (non-Thai citizens). No attempt limit published. Score must be less than two years old on the application deadline. Source |
There is one row because CSII runs one undergraduate programme. The rule sits in section 1.2.2 of the announcement, which lists the mathematics tests an applicant must pass. One is enough, and you may upload more than one.
| Mathematics test | Minimum |
|---|---|
| Online Mathematics Placement Test (OMPT-B) | 65% |
| SAT Mathematics | 600 |
| ACT Math | 25 |
| CU-AAT, Math section | 580 |
| IB Diploma, HL Math | 5 |
| A-Level Math | Grade B |
| Gaokao Math | 70 |
| HKDSE Math | Level 4 |
| General Scholastic Ability Test (GSAT or Xue Ce) | 10 |
| Russian Unified State Examination (EGE), Math Specialization Level | 70 |
The module is named. The announcement lists OMPT-B and no other OMPT module, so an OMPT-A certificate is not on the list, however high the score. If you are booking for BAScii, book B.
The OMPT is also tied to your passport. The CSII admission FAQ says eligibility for the Early International and International rounds depends on citizenship, not on the type of school you attend. Thai citizens apply in the Early Admission and 2nd Admission rounds, and those announcements list only SAT Math (640), ACT Math (27) and CU-AAT Math (620), all higher than the international cut-offs. A Thai citizen at an international school in Bangkok therefore cannot use the OMPT here.
There is a fallback if you miss one of the two proficiency requirements. An applicant who meets either the English or the mathematics requirement, but not both, can cover the gap with an SAT composite of at least 1300 or an overall GED score of at least 700. All scores, OMPT included, must be less than two years old on the application deadline. The announcement says nothing about how many times you may sit a test, so CSII publishes no attempt limit of its own.
English is the other half of the file. The international list includes TOEFL iBT 80, IELTS 6.5, Duolingo 105, SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing 500 and CU-TEP 100, among others, and IELTS scores from retake sessions are not accepted. Applicants who spent at least three years of secondary school in an accredited English-medium school in one of the listed English-speaking countries may be considered for a waiver.
Your OMPT score counts beyond the 65% minimum
Most OMPT universities publish only a threshold. CSII also publishes how the shortlisted files are ranked, and the mathematics test score carries the largest share.
| Selection component | Weight |
|---|---|
| English proficiency test score | 20% |
| Mathematics proficiency test score | 30% |
| E-Portfolio and interview | 15% |
| Team Dynamic Assessment | 15% |
| Aptitude test | 20% |
The announcement does not explain how an OMPT percentage is compared with an SAT or CU-AAT score, so nobody outside the committee can tell you what 80% on OMPT-B is worth against 700 on the SAT. What follows from the table is simple: 65% gets your file read, and every point above it feeds the biggest single block of the ranking. Do not stop preparing the moment your mock crosses 65%.
Which OMPT module CSII uses and what it looks like
CSII uses OMPT-B only. The figures below come from the official OMPT-B syllabus.
| OMPT-B | |
|---|---|
| Questions | 64 |
| Time | 150 minutes |
| Minutes per question | about 2.3 |
| Chapters | 10 |
| Topics | 226 |
| Suggested preparation (official) | about 100 hours |
| Fee per attempt | €240 |
OMPT-B contains all eight OMPT-A chapters (Numbers, Algebra, Linear formulas and equations, Systems of linear equations, Quadratic equations, Functions, Exponential functions and logarithms, and Differentiation) and adds Trigonometry and Integration. Those two chapters are the real difference from the SAT route, because SAT Math does not test calculus. An applicant who is comfortable with algebra but has never integrated a function will find OMPT-B harder than the SAT, and should decide which test to take with that in mind. The full chapter list with topic counts is on Examify's OMPT-B syllabus page, and the OMPT-B guide covers difficulty and worked examples.
Chulalongkorn CSII OMPT minimum score in context
CSII's 65% is high for OMPT-B. Among the programmes in Examify's table, Econometrics at VU Amsterdam and at the University of Groningen both ask 60% on OMPT-B, Erasmus IBEB asks 60% on OMPT-B, LUT University asks 60% for its engineering programmes, and Arcada asks 50% for Information Technology. Only Amsterdam University College's Sciences major, at 70% on OMPT-B or OMPT-G, sets a higher bar. BAScii is not an econometrics degree, yet it asks more of the same test than two Dutch econometrics bachelors do.
On OMPT-B, 65% means about 42 correct answers out of 64, so you can miss 22. Aim for at least 80% on a full-length mock before you book. That buffer covers the usual gap between mock and exam (a proctor, an ID check, strict final-answer grading), and because the maths score is weighted at 30%, a result in the 80s strengthens the application rather than just clearing it. The full comparison of thresholds is in OMPT passing scores.
OMPT or SAT for BAScii: which to take
If you already have SAT Math at 600 or higher, less than two years old on the deadline, do not take the OMPT as well. The same goes for ACT Math 25 or a CU-AAT Math score of 580. You already meet the requirement.
The OMPT makes sense in three situations. Your curriculum is European and you have done calculus but never sat the SAT. Your application is close and you need a result fast: an OMPT slot can be booked 72 hours ahead and results arrive within 8 business days. Or your final school exams are still ahead: the announcement asks for scores you have achieved and says nothing about predicted grades, so an IB or A-Level grade you will only receive in the summer cannot carry the maths requirement in a round that closes in February or May.
How to prepare for the Chulalongkorn CSII OMPT test
The official estimate for OMPT-B is about 100 hours. The plan below assumes a target well above 65%, for the ranking reason explained earlier.
- Sit a full-length diagnostic mock first: 64 questions, 150 minutes, timer on, answers typed. The free OMPT practice test shows harder OMPT-B questions in the real answer box so you learn the input rules; then take the full OMPT-B generation-1 mock built by Examify.
- Score the mock per chapter. Rank the ten chapters from weakest to strongest and give the weakest ones the first hours. If Numbers and Algebra are above 80%, leave them until the final week.
- Put the bulk of the 100 hours into Functions, Differentiation, Trigonometry and Integration. Trigonometry is where applicants from calculus-light curricula lose the most marks, and Integration is the chapter the SAT never asked of you.
- Practise in the answer format from day one. The OMPT checks final answers with a computer algebra system and a mathematician reviews the formatting, so a correct method with an ambiguous final answer scores nothing.
- From week two, run every drill set at 2.3 minutes per question. The test is two and a half hours long, and stamina in the last 30 minutes decides as much as knowledge.
- Take a second full mock about a week before your planned test date. Book only if it lands at 80% or above; otherwise move the slot.
For a week-by-week version see improve your OMPT score in 30 days. If you are unsure how many of the 100 hours you need, how long does OMPT preparation take shows how to convert a diagnostic score into hours, and how hard is the OMPT puts the difficulty in perspective.
Booking, deadlines and results for CSII applicants
An OMPT-B slot has to be booked at least 72 hours in advance and each attempt costs €240 (€270 applies only to OMPT-D and OMPT-F, which CSII does not use). Results and the digital certificate arrive within 8 business days, which is about 12 calendar days depending on the weekday.
BAScii has one intake a year, starting in August. The admission for Academic Year 2027 had not been published when Examify checked on 27 September 2026; the 2026 announcement was signed on 16 October 2025, and the CSII FAQ says rounds open in late fall. For scale, this is how the last cycle ran for international applicants:
| International round (AY2026) | Application and fee payment | Shortlist published | Aptitude test, interview, team assessment | Accepted candidates |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| First round | 22 December 2025 to 6 February 2026 | 11 February 2026 | 16 to 20 February 2026 | 24 February 2026 |
| Second round (only if seats remain) | 20 March to 1 May 2026 | 7 May 2026 | 11 to 15 May 2026 | 19 May 2026 |
Aim for the first round. The announcement offered 30 places across both international rounds, and the second round opens only if seats are left. Scores must be uploaded to the CSII admission platform before the deadline, and an application without them is rejected. With the 6 February deadline of the last cycle, the latest safe OMPT date was about 25 January. If you want one retake in reserve, count 38 days back instead: 12 for the first result, 14 to fix weak chapters and rebook, and 12 for the second result.
The application fee was 1,500 Thai baht and is not refunded once you submit. Accepted candidates confirm their place with a 100,000 baht tuition deposit, deducted from the first-semester fee. Applicants abroad can do the whole process online, including the interview and the aptitude test, which the FAQ describes as simple written questions that need no preparation. You will also need a high school equivalency certificate through Chulalongkorn's equivalency system. The booking steps, ID rules and proctoring setup are in how to book the OMPT, and the programme table with its source link is kept current on the Chulalongkorn CSII page.
Requirements can change between intakes, so confirm the module, score and dates in the Academic Year 2027 announcement before you pay for a slot. Examify is independent and not affiliated with the OMPT, SOWISO or any university.
{name} OMPT: frequently asked questions
- Which OMPT module does Chulalongkorn School of Integrated Innovation require?
- Chulalongkorn School of Integrated Innovation lists 1 programme with an OMPT requirement, using OMPT-B. The most common requirement is OMPT-B, asked for by 1 programme. The exact module for each programme is in the table above, sourced from the university's own admission page.
- What is the minimum OMPT score for Chulalongkorn School of Integrated Innovation?
- Every Chulalongkorn School of Integrated Innovation programme listed here requires at least 65% on the OMPT. The score is set by the programme, not by the test provider, and can change between admission cycles.
- How do I prepare for the Chulalongkorn School of Integrated Innovation OMPT test?
- Start with a full-length timed mock of the module your programme requires (OMPT-B) to find your weak chapters, then work through those chapters on the syllabus page. Examify builds independent practice tests for every OMPT module; it is not affiliated with the official test provider.
- Does Chulalongkorn CSII accept the OMPT for BAScii?
- Yes. The Chulalongkorn School of Integrated Innovation accepts OMPT-B with a minimum score of 65% as one of ten mathematics tests for the Bachelor of Arts and Science in Integrated Innovation (BAScii). It applies only in the Early International and International rounds, which are for non-Thai citizens. Examify verified this on the Academic Year 2026 international-round announcement on 27 September 2026.
- Which OMPT module does Chulalongkorn CSII require?
- OMPT-B, and only OMPT-B. The announcement does not list OMPT-A or any other module. OMPT-B has 64 questions in 150 minutes across 10 chapters, the eight OMPT-A chapters plus Trigonometry and Integration, and the official preparation estimate is about 100 hours.
- What is the minimum OMPT score for Chulalongkorn BAScii?
- 65% on OMPT-B, which is about 42 correct answers out of 64. That is higher than the 60% that VU Amsterdam and Groningen ask for Econometrics on the same module. The mathematics test score also carries 30% of the selection weighting, so a score well above 65% helps your ranking.
- Can Thai students use the OMPT to apply to CSII?
- No. Eligibility for the international rounds depends on citizenship, not school type. Thai citizens apply in the Early Admission or 2nd Admission rounds, where the accepted mathematics tests are SAT Math (640), ACT Math (27) and CU-AAT Math (620). The OMPT is not on that list.
- Does CSII accept SAT or CU-AAT instead of the OMPT?
- Yes. International applicants can meet the mathematics requirement with SAT Math 600, ACT Math 25, CU-AAT Math 580, IB HL Math 5, A-Level Math grade B, Gaokao Math 70, HKDSE Math Level 4, GSAT 10 or the Russian EGE at Math Specialization Level with 70. If you already hold one of these, you do not need the OMPT.
- When should I take the OMPT for the BAScii international round?
- Results take up to 8 business days, about 12 calendar days, and scores must be uploaded before the round closes. In the last cycle the first international round closed on 6 February 2026, so the last safe test date was about 25 January. Scores must also be less than two years old on the deadline. Check the Academic Year 2027 announcement for the new dates.
