Who generation 3 is for
For applicants who have been through the whole OMPT-D syllabus and want to test the joins between chapters rather than the chapters themselves. It is the sensible stop before you spend your one realistic dress rehearsal.
How to work through generation 3
Time it properly, then look only at the questions you abandoned. On OMPT-D abandoning happens for two reasons: you did not recognise the opening move, or you recognised it and the algebra went long. The solutions are written to make that distinction visible.
Where generation 3 sits in the OMPT-D line
There are four OMPT-D generations. They are independent papers meant to be taken in order, 1 to 4, and the higher you go the longer the chains get. Generation 3 is one below the top.

No downloadable file, no. OMPT-D generation 3 runs online in your Exam.ify account, which matters more on this test than on most: the solutions are long, and having them beside your own attempt is the point of the review.
Is generation 3 of OMPT-D as hard as the real exam?
Nearly as hard as the real exam, but not quite. Generation 3 is one rung below generation 4, the exam-calibrated OMPT-D paper. Questions still run several steps, they just signpost the transitions more, which is what leaves you somewhere to improve.
What kind of questions are on the OMPT-D test?
Every question on OMPT-D combines chapters, and generation 3 marks the joins between them more clearly than generation 4 does. Trigonometry, geometry and integration all appear. Four generations exist for this module; the syllabus page lists what is in each chapter.
