OMPT-A generation 1: the widest coverage at the gentlest level
Generation 1 is the gentlest OMPT-A set and the one spread widest across the 176 topics. Nothing here is designed to catch you out. The 52 questions are distributed over the whole syllabus so that a weak chapter shows up as a cluster of misses rather than as one hard question you could blame on bad luck.

Who generation 1 is for
Start here if OMPT-A is still a month or more away, or if it has been a few years since you last solved a quadratic by hand. Plenty of applicants to Dutch economics and business programmes meet OMPT-A as their first maths requirement in years, and this is the set written for that situation.
How to work through generation 1
Run it without a clock the first time and flag every question you had to reread. Those flags are your revision list. Repeat the whole set once you have worked through the flagged chapters, because full coverage makes progress plain. Then move up to generation 2.
Where generation 1 sits in the OMPT-A line
Four OMPT-A generations exist and generation 1 is the foot of the ladder. Every generation is a full paper in its own right, so working up through 2, 3 and 4 gives you four separate measurements rather than four looks at the same questions.
