OMPT-A generation 2: broad coverage at a moderate level
Generation 2 sits in the lower half of OMPT-A and covers the syllabus wide rather than deep. You still meet all eight chapters, from Numbers through to Differentiation, but the questions ask for one technique at a time instead of stacking three, so a wrong answer usually points at a single identifiable gap.
Generation 2 of OMPT-A as a complete paper: 52 questions, a 120-minute allowance and a full solution beside every answer. Its questions are picked to touch all eight chapters rather than to cluster on the difficult ones. Recommended solving order: 1 → 2 → 3 → 4.
Who generation 2 is for
This is the generation for the middle of your preparation, once generation 1 has stopped teaching you anything and generation 4 would mostly report that you are not ready. It works well for the economics and business applicants who picked up OMPT-A as an entry requirement and last saw logarithms at school.
How to work through generation 2
Give yourself a real but forgiving limit, say 150 minutes rather than 120. Mark each miss against its chapter in the OMPT-A syllabus and clear that chapter before you move on. The 80 hours of study OMPT-A usually takes mostly go into work like this, not into timed runs.
Where generation 2 sits in the OMPT-A line
OMPT-A has four generations. They are meant to be worked in order, 1 then 2 then 3 then 4, because each step up narrows the coverage and raises the level. Generation 2 is the second rung of that four.

Is there a OMPT-A exam PDF to download?
No PDF version exists. You answer OMPT-A generation 2 online in your Exam.ify account, which is also where the solutions are, so you can compare your working against theirs question by question instead of flicking through a document.
How difficult is generation 2 of OMPT-A?
Moderate. Generation 2 is clearly harder than generation 1 and clearly easier than generation 4, the exam-level OMPT-A set. Its value is coverage: because it touches every chapter at a level you can actually finish, it tells you where the weak spots sit.
What kind of questions are on the OMPT-A test?
