The pace is the part most people underestimate: 52 questions in 120 minutes leaves barely over two minutes each, so the differentiation and logarithm questions have to come out almost by reflex rather than by derivation.

Who generation 4 is for
Sit this when your OMPT-A date is a week or two away and you want a score you can trust. It assumes you can already clear a quadratic or a system of linear equations without stopping to think, so if any of the 176 topics still needs a textbook beside you, work through generation 3 first.
How to work through generation 4
One sitting, 120 minutes on the clock, no notes. Afterwards count how many questions you left blank against how many you got wrong, because on OMPT-A those two numbers mean different things. Blanks are a pacing problem, wrong answers are a technique problem, and they need opposite kinds of revision.
Where generation 4 sits in the OMPT-A line
OMPT-A runs to four generations and generation 4 is the last rung. Each one is a separate paper with its own questions. The climb from 1 to 4 trades breadth for difficulty, so this is the one to leave until your revision is finished.

How hard is generation 4 of the OMPT-A practice test?
It is the hardest OMPT-A set we publish. Generation 4 is the top of this line and the one calibrated against the real exam, both in the level of the algebra and in how little time you get per question. Generations 1 to 3 are easier and spread wider, so most people are better served by those until the last fortnight.
What kind of questions are on the OMPT-A test?
